"Eye" See You

Hey Y'all!!!  Happy Monday!!  I hope y'all had a great weekend and are ready to face the new week.  And it's a great week, Halloween week!!  My now-a-teen is at that awkward age where she's too old for trick-or-treating, but too young for parties.  I miss seeing her all dressed up, but by the age of two, she no longer let me pick her costumes.  That meant a couple of years of adorable costumes, and a couple of years of...well, not my choice costumes, lol.  What about you?  Are you getting dressed up?

Anyway, in honor of Halloween, I have a "spooky" mani for you, "Eye" See You:

I Used:
Icing- Twilight (black crelly with silver glitter)
Fantasy Makers- Nail In The Coffin (black jelly with sparse orange micro glitter)
Fright Night Claw Polish- Voodoo (red jelly with red glitter)
Fright Night Claw Polish- Poison (purple shimmer)
Orly- Flicker (rusty orange shimmer)
Dotting Tools

So the idea was to make spooky eyes staring out...but according to my loving family, the eyes are "cute".  Well dang.  I thought they were scary.  Especially the ones on both thumbs.

You're scared now aren't you?  Going to have to sleep with the lights on kind of scared, right?  Ok, lie to me and just say you're scared, lol.

Mish Mash Challenge: Rainbow

Hey Y'all!!!  Guess what day it is???  Yep, Wednesday (lol, and you thought I was going to say Hump Day)!  So that means I have two posts to get up today!  First, it's Mish Mash Wednesday and today's theme is Rainbows!  I love doing rainbows, so much so that it has its own label (in the right column of the blog), but the challenge is how to do a different rainbow.

I know that after today and seeing every one's great manis I'll have a ton of manis to try.   But I've had this one idea for a while, a loose rainbow color block with black and clear water marble over it.  And since it's Fall, I went with jewel tones:

I Used:
Color Club-  (red with a gold shimmer)
Orly- Flicker (rusty orange shimmer)
China Glaze- Lighthouse (yellow glass fleck)
Hard Candy- Bity Blue (blue shimmer)
Ulta- Envy (green shimmer)
Fright Night Claw Polish- Poison (purple shimmer)
Orly- Liquid Vinyl (black crème)
Sally Hansen-  (clear)
Make Up Sponges


I really like how this turned out.  I love the deep jewel tones, and thanks to those dark colors, the bubbles in the black don't show up in real life (note: my Orly Liquid Vinyl is very bubbly, lol)

Mish Mash Challenge: Triangles

Hey Y'all!!  How's your Wednesday going?  Mine is ok...I seem a little lost today, lol.  I've been working on this mani all day and am just now getting it up.  I've been easily distracted.  I've looked at every odd-ball story on the Internet today.  Really!!  Ask me about the "new evidence of Bigfoot", I can tell you all about it!!  (FYI, it looked like Chewbacca after a wild night)

Anyway, what was I doing?  Oh yeah.  Today is the Mish Mash Challenge with my fabulous gals!!  And today's theme is triangles:

So I went a little crazy with the triangle designs, lol.  I couldn't make up what I wanted to do, so I did them all!

I Used:
Pinky: China Glaze- Temptation Carnation (super light pink shimmer)
            A-England-  Jane Eyre (dark purple shimmer)
            Light pink triangle rhinestone
            Scotch Tape
Ring Finger: China Glaze- Naked (pink shimmer)
             Elixir Lacquers- Miss Kitty's Mee-yow (lilac with a blue shimmer)
             Liner Brush
Middle Finger:  China Glaze- Sexy Silhouette (bright fuchsia with shimmer)
             Light pink triangle rhinestones
Index Finger: China Glaze- Temptation Carnation (super light pink shimmer)
            Zoya-  Tru (smoky purple with gold shimmer)
            Jade Holographica- Fascinio Violeta (purple linear holo)
Thumb:  China Glaze- Temptation Carnation (super light pink shimmer)

Whew, long list.  Told you I was distracted today!

I had fun doing these, even if it took me all day!  Now I need to go do something....dinner?  The people in this house are ALWAYS asking me for food!  I'm sure they want to eat....right after I go check out these incredible designs by my fellow bloggers!!!  They rock!!  Happy Polishing!!
