Hey Y'all!! TGIF!!! I don't think I've ever been more excited to see a week end!! I've decided that Friday is the end of the week, cause I can't take anymore bad days! The teen and I have a bunch of running around to do, so let me get to today's post!
I have a Rainbow Splatter for you:
I Used:
Sinful Colors- Snow Me White (white crème)
Orly- Grave Mistake (dark red crème) on pinky only
Sinful Colors- Feel The Vibe (bright orange crème) on pinky & ring fingers
Sinful Colors- Chick Chick (bright yellow crème) on ring & middle fingers
Sally Hansen- Kelp Out (green crème) on middle and index fingers
Sinful Colors- Jolt (bright blue crème) on index fingers & thumbs
Sinful Colors- Go Go Boots (purple crème) on thumbs only
Plastic Straws
Beauty Secrets Nail Polish Thinner
So splatter nails are not my favorite technique...by far! Although I did change how I did it this time, it was still kind of hard and messy. For this mani I started with two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. Once that dried, I put tape around my fingers to help with the clean up. Then I put a few drops of polish on a paper plate and added about 4 drops of thinner to it. For what polish was put on what finger, check the list above.
Then just dip the straw into the polish and blow. Which is easier said than done, lol. For me, only one out of every 15 blows worked. I was finally getting the hang of it on the last nail, of course. I will advise you put down a newspaper. And blow gently.
I hope y'all enjoyed today's post! Happy Polishing!!

Mish Mash Challenge: Rainbow
Hey Y'all!!! Guess what day it is??? Yep, Wednesday (lol, and you thought I was going to say Hump Day)! So that means I have two posts to get up today! First, it's Mish Mash Wednesday and today's theme is Rainbows! I love doing rainbows, so much so that it has its own label (in the right column of the blog), but the challenge is how to do a different rainbow.
I know that after today and seeing every one's great manis I'll have a ton of manis to try. But I've had this one idea for a while, a loose rainbow color block with black and clear water marble over it. And since it's Fall, I went with jewel tones:
I Used:
Color Club- (red with a gold shimmer)
Orly- Flicker (rusty orange shimmer)
China Glaze- Lighthouse (yellow glass fleck)
Hard Candy- Bity Blue (blue shimmer)
Ulta- Envy (green shimmer)
Fright Night Claw Polish- Poison (purple shimmer)
Orly- Liquid Vinyl (black crème)
Sally Hansen- (clear)
Make Up Sponges
I really like how this turned out. I love the deep jewel tones, and thanks to those dark colors, the bubbles in the black don't show up in real life (note: my Orly Liquid Vinyl is very bubbly, lol)
I hope y'all enjoy today's mani. Be sure to join me in checking out the other ladies in the Mish Mash Challenge. Just click on the links below. I can't wait to see what they've done!! Happy Polishing!!!

Blue Rainbows, Autism Awareness Month
Hi Everyone!! I hope y'all are enjoying your weekend!! I'm excited! I'm on my way to review a salon in the metro Atlanta area. If any of you saw my post about the Make Up Meet yesterday, you know how desperately I need a haircut!! I hope to have that review up for you by Friday. I have at least two posts for you today (supposed to be 3...we'll see, ha ha), so I'm going to just jump in!
As you may remember we are doing an Autism Awareness challenge and today is Blue Rainbows. And here is design:
I Used:
China Glaze- Don't Be A Luna-Tic (light blue linear holo)
And from lightest to darkest:
Sinful Colors- Sugar Rush
Sinful Colors- Why Not
Hard Candy- Itty Bitty
Pure Ice- French Kiss
Sally Hansen- Petrol
Medium Dotting Tool
The base of this mani is the China Glaze holo, Don't Be A Luna-Tic. You may remember that I have a thin layer of acrylic over my natural nails, and you may have heard that holographic polish will only work on natural nails...WRONG!!! Holos work perfectly with every nail type, you just need either a ridge filling base coat, or a top coat that levels. And by levels, I mean if you paint your top coat over your finished nails and it leaves your nails smooth, it's probably leveled your nails off. And I highly recommend this for those with natural nails...especially if you have a lot of ridges on your nails.
So I started with this fabulous leveling base coat I can't find anywhere, and then two coats of the China Glaze holo goodness!! Then using a medium size dotting tool (or toothpick), I started my ombre rainbow. I started down by my cuticle and just painted one dot, to help give my rainbow its curve. Then I just dotted in a curve shape all the way to the tip, going from lightest to darkest.
Be sure to check out all the other fabulous bloggers and their blue rainbow designs...they are all listed below the photos. Until later, Happy Polishing!!

Day 11: Polka Dots, R31DC
Howdy Everyone!! How's your Tuesday going? I'm just hoping for a better Tuesday than Monday!!
Today's prompt is Polka Dots! I love dotting. It's an easy way to get a fun and unique look. I have several dotty manicures worked up on my nail wheels that I've never worn, so choosing which one to do for this challenge was difficult. So I finally had my almost teenager decide for me and I love the one she chose:
I Used:
Ulta- High Roller (very shimmery light gold)
Wet-n-Wild- I Red a Good Book (red crelly)
NYC- Times Square Tangerine Crème (orange crème)
Kleancolor- Neon Yellow (yellow crème)
China Glaze- Def-Defying (chartreuse green crème)
Ulta- Blue Streak (medium blue crème)
Wet-n-Wild- On a Trip (purple crème)
Dotting Tool
I started with two coats of the gorgeous Ulta High Roller. Love this color! Once that had dried completely, I used the smallest dotting tool to create the dots. You can also use a toothpick or a needle to make the dots. I started at the tip with red, then followed the ROY G. BIV rule: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, (left out the indigo) and purple. Then a coat of top coat.
I hope y'all enjoyed this manicure. Be sure to check out the rest of the ladies manis and make sure that you've entered my GIVEAWAY!!!
Check back tomorrow for Day 12 of the R31DC: Stripes AND my first day of the ABC Challenge!! Happy Polishing!!

Day 9: Rainbow, R31DC
Hi Everyone!! How are y'all doing today? Any big plans for the weekend? There is so much going on this weekend I'm sure it's going to be fun. "The Vampire Diaries" are filming in town. You may think so how will you ever see them? But when I say I have a small town, I'm not kidding. Downtown is one block. And TVD puts signs up pointing to where everything is!! And all I can say about Ian Somenholder is, drool!! And yes I've met him!! And my almost teenager is getting her first pair of pointe shoes!! And that means a trip to the city!!! Wonder if there is an Ulta near the dance store?
Ok, enough about all that, on to the challenge! First I've decided to abbreviate it to R31DC as opposed to writing out Relaxed 31 Day Challenge. Next, today's prompt is rainbow. I didn't know what I was going to do until the blue challenge last Monday (sorry, for some reason I can't get the link to work today). So here is my rainbow:
I Used (from lightest to darkest):
Green:
Pure Ice- Wild Thing
Wet-n-Wild- SaGreena the Teenage Witch
Finger Paints- Avante Garde Green
Yellow:
NYC- 114A
Kleancolor- Neon Yellow
Spoiled- Designated Driver
Blue:
Bonita (name missing)
Wet-n-Wild- Saved by the Blue
NYC- Skin Tight Denim Crème
Red:
A mix of China Glaze- Rougish Red and white polish
Wet-n-Wild- I Red a Good Book
Orly- Torrid
Purple:
NYC- Lavender Cupcake
Wet-n-Wild- On a Trip
China Glaze- VIII
I had a lot of fun creating this manicure, despite the first words out of the almost teenager's mouth that I got the colors in the wrong order, lol. I love it anyway!!
And here is the rest of the challenge:
Hope y'all have a fabulous weekend!! Be sure to check out the other designs and check back next week as I add another, albeit, relaxed challenge! Happy Polishing!!
