Howdy Everyone!! I hope y'all are doing great today. It's a dark and rainy day here in Georgia. I can't wait to curl up with a good book....or go back to sleep.
So today is another Summer Challenge post!!
So today's prompt is S'more Please, meaning Summer campfires, and here is my design:
I Used:
For the Gradient:
Sinful Colors- Snow Me White (white crème)
Orly- Unlawful (red crème)
China Glaze- Roguish Red (red/orange crème)
Kleancolor- Neon Yellow (bright yellow crème)
For the Water Marble:
Orly- Liquid Vinyl
Sinful Colors- Clear
I love these!! I hate that I have to take these off. I used two different techniques to create this look: a gradient and a water marble (click on the technique to take you to the tutorials). I know this seems time consuming, but it really didn't take that long. I used the Sinful Colors Snow Me White as a base for my gradient, but I still had to do two coats/sponges to get the colors right. Then once that dried, I did the water marble. All the details on how to do these two techniques are in the links above.
I hope y'all enjoyed my Summer Campfire. Be sure to check the links below to see the other fabulous designs! Happy Polishing!!

Inspired by a Movie, R31DC
Hi Everyone!! I'm back among the living! I went to the doctor today and got medicine and am scheduled for some tests. He told me in the meantime I had to change my diet...because my food was TOO healthy!! What the heck? He told me no more salads, leafy green vegetables, no more whole grains or whole wheat, but to eat lots of pasta and white bread! That just isn't going to work for me, not to mention I would gain a ton! Besides the healthy stuff is what my normal doctor said to eat. Why do they have to be so confusing?? Ugh!!
Anyway, today's challenge prompt is Inspired by a Movie and my movie, although it hasn't come out yet is "Catching Fire". My daughter and I read the entire series by Suzanne Collins and LOVE IT!! I love dystopian books anyway and the "Hunger Games" is one of my favorite series. Here is my design;
I Used:
Nina Ultra Pro- French White (white crème)
Spoiled- Designated Driver (yellow crème)
China Glaze- Roguish Red (a bright orangish red crème)
China Glaze- Adventure Red-y (dark red crème)
Confetti- Masquerade Ball (very dark, shimmery red)
Wet-n-Wild, Fergie- Glamorous (clear base with hexagon and micro gold glitters)
Fire has been done so many ways, and I wanted to try to come up with one more, lol. This is supposed to look like your staring into the fire with the gold glitter being the sparks. I started with one coat of white so the colors would pop. Then using the eye shadow applicators, I sponged the yellow, orange, red and dark red onto my nails to represent fire. Be sure to sponge the colors on from lightest to darkest. I wanted a rougher look than a regular gradient. Then I topped it off with one coat of Fergie's Glamorous, a clear base with large hexagon and micro gold glitters to emulate sparks.
I hope y'all enjoy today's design and be sure to check everyone else's movie designs! Happy Polishing!!

The Hunger Games
My 12 year old daughter is a huge fan of The Hunger Games. She read all the books last year and loved them. She kept telling me I needed to read them and I kept saying ok, later. When we heard a movie was coming out, she reminded me of the rule where we have to read the book before seeing the movie...don't you love it when your words come back to haunt you?? I sat down on a Friday morning to read it and by Sunday night I had read all three books! They are fabulous! My daughter insisted I have "Hunger Game" nails (I have 5 versions...she kept wanting more, lol) and here is version one. I used the drag method, found here to accomplish this look. The only difference is when you are dragging the polish, drag in s shapes. Happy Polishing!
I used:
China Glaze- Liquid Leather
NYC- Times Square Tangerine Creme
Ulta- Red Carpet Red
Spoiled- Designated Driver
