Purple & Hearts & Circles & Holo & Oh My!

Hey Y'all!!  Happy Friday!!  I am so happy it's Friday!  The teen and I have an entire day to chill before another crazy 10 straight days((minus Mother's Day) that include dance, recital, end of the year school parties and oral surgery.  Dang!  It's all her stuff.  LOL, I guess I don't have a life anymore!  Do any of y'all have special plans for the weekend?  Mother's Day is Sunday.  I plan for the teen and hubby to wait on me hand and foot all day!  And crab!  I want crab for dinner!  And lunch!

Ok, so if y'all follow me on facebook, twitter or instagram, you know that a couple of weeks ago some of my blogger buddies and I had a swap.  And the person who had me was the incredible, fabulous, beautiful Natalie at Over The Top Coat!!!!  And she did an incredible job!!  She knocked off a bunch of my wants and loaded me up on jelly beans (my favorite candy)!!!  It was so hard to choose which polish to use first, but I was predictable.  I went with the purple and glitter!
Holy crap on a cracker!!!  These were AH-MAZING!!!!  Pictures truly don't do these justice!!

The lilac is China Glaze Lotus Begin, a beautiful lilac crème.  LOVE!!!  Pictures show two coats.

The glitter top coat is Above The Curve Circle of Love.  OMG!!!!  This is my first Above The Curve nail polish, but it won't be my last.  Circle of Love is mind blowing!  Ok, I will try to tell you everything in it...  Circle of  Love is a clear based topper with:  lilac hearts (hard to see because it's the exact same color as Lotus Begin), red hearts, pink hearts, white hearts, large holographic circles,  large red circles, medium white circles, medium pink circles, medium red circles, medium magenta circles, small magenta circles, small pink circles, small white circles, miro red glitter and micro holographic glitter!  Whew!!  That's a ton of glitter!  And a ton of fabulousness!!  I think I got them all!!

Pictures show one (yep, that's just one) coat of Circle of Love with two coats of top coat, just to make sure everything evened out. I didn't even have to dig for the glitters.  Not even the big ones!

I can not begin to tell you how much I LOVE these polishes!!  And I can't thank the fabulous Natalie enough!!!

Hope y'all enjoyed today's post and that you have an incredible weekend! Happy Polishing!!

Valentine's Day Mani

Hey Y'all!!  Happy Valentine's Day!!  Do y'all do anything special for Valentine's Day?  The hubby and I never really have.  Mainly because our anniversary, my birthday, our now-a-teen's birthday and his birthday all hit late January through February.  Then if you include parents, his siblings, aunts and uncles...it's insane!  So, truth be told, we are usually too broke for Valentine's, along with being way over sweets by then!

Also, I'm not much of a heart and flower kind of person, which is why you only see one Valentine's mani each year, but I did come up with one this year.  And I really like it.  Simple:
I Used:
LA Colors- red crème (no name)
Finger Paints- Oh My Gauche (small gold glitter in clear base)
Fine Detail Brush

I started with three coats of LA Colors in a red crème.  I'm kind of sad about this...it didn't give me a completely opaque look, even after three coats.  But it's one of those things I didn't notice until I was editing the pictures.  Oh well.
Anyway, once that dried, I used a very fine detail brush and hand drew the hearts.  Then filled them in using the same brush.
Don't forget the top coat!

Be sure to share your Valentine's Day plans with me, especially since I don't have any :(

And, if you haven't already, be sure to enter my GIVEAWAY!!!  Today's the last day!

Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Polishing!!

ABC Challenge: F, Valentine's French Tip

Ok that's a confusing title, lol!  It's time for our ABC Challenge!!  This week is F and I went with a Valentine's Day themed French tip.  I'm not really loving Valentine's Day this year...I have to go in for some tests on Friday and *shudder* the doctor has put me on a liquid diet until then!  Yep, no fancy dinner here...actually, no dinner here :(

But I've decided to put my bitterness aside, lol, and join in the Valentine's mani madness.  Here are my French tips:
I Used:
Orly- Frolic (bright pink crème)
Orly- Torrid (shimmery red)
Dotting Tools

I started with two coats of Orly Frolic, a gorgeous pink/neon-ish crème that I love!!  This is the first time I've used it and it's just such a perfect color.  Then using dotting tools (and remember you can use toothpicks)  I made the alternating hearts.  Just make two large dots then using the smallest dotting tool, drag the polish down to a point.  To add interest, and make room for more hearts, I alternated which way the hearts face.

I really like how this turned out, I think it looks cute.  And I'm not a fan of hearts.  I hope to have a new manicure for you tomorrow, but if not, I will see you as soon as the sedation wears off, lol!  Just in case, Happy Valentine's Day!!  And remember, anyone can be your Valentine, even your four legged friend!

And if you like this design, please go to Orly's facebook page and vote for my manicure.  Thank you!!  Y'all are just the best and I SOOO appreciate each and every one of you!!

Be sure to check out all the fabulous designs in the links below!!  Have I told you how much I love these ladies?  See you soon and Happy Polishing!!
