RedThumb2Stop & Neon Dry Brush

Hey Y'all!!  Wow!  I've missed y'all!  I had a crappy week, in first-world terms  We had a bad storm come through and lightening hit our house...again!  They say lightening won't strike the same place twice, but "they" lie.  This is the second time it's hit our house and the second time it took out our tv and internet.  Our poor tv can't take another hit.  Finally everything is working again...and now I'm sick.  Ugh, fun.

So today's post was supposed to be up last week.  It was supposed to be part of the #RedThumb2Stop campaign.  A quick recap:  the #RedThumb2Stop campaign is to remind us all to not text and drive.  So here is my Neon Dry Brush mani with red thumbs:
I Used:
Sinful Colors- Snow Me White (white crème)
OPI- Innie Minnie Mighty Bow (red shimmer)
Zoya- Charisma (neon purple)
Finger Paints- Pink Perspective (super bright pink neon)
Nina Ultra Pro- Blue Blaze (bright blue neon)
I love the dry brush technique.  It's super easy to do and doesn't require any tools.  I started this look with two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White.  Once that was dry, I started layering on the neon.  All you do is use the brush that comes with the polish.  Just wipe off as much of the polish as possible (using the neck of the bottle to scrape off the polish).  The brush may even look like there isn't anything on it, but trust me, there's plenty.  Then just randomly wipe the brush across your nails.  I started with Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze, then Zoya Charisma and finally, Finger Paints Pink Perspective.
Once you get the look you want, top with top coat.

I hope you enjoy today's post!  Happy Polishing!!

TIOT: Studio M Sunrise Canyon

Hey Y'all!!  Happy Tuesday!  I hope y'all are having a fabulous day!  I'm having a relaxing day.  The teen is at dance camp and without her, my fur babies are all quiet.  So I'm having a great, quiet day.

And I have an incredible polish for you today! Thanks to the wonderful Liz at A Mani Maniac, whom I ADORE!!!!  who gave me this polish:

Isn't this AH-MAZING???  Studio M Sunrise Canyon is a brown leaning peach, sandy linear holographic polish.  The photos show two coats with top coat!  Yes!  A linear holo that you can top with top coat!  Because of that, I was able to wear this polish for three days, which is about the longest I wear a polish.

This holo is just too gorgeous for words!  It even shows the linear holo inside, under regular lights!
Love, love, LOVE this polish!!!  And the name is perfect!  It really does make me think of a Desert Sunrise.  Sadly, it can only be found in a certain store in Michigan :'(  Luckily, I have an incredible friend that lives in Michigan!  Thank you again Liz!!  Love you!!

And love to everyone reading this!  Your support means the world to me!  Have a fabulous day and Happy Polishing!!

Red Thumb 2 Stop Campaign...and Pirates!

Hey Y'all!!  The fabulous Beauty-Shoes-Nails-Fun has organized the RedThumb2Stop Campaign!  We've all taken the pledge to stop texting, using social media, checking email, taking photos and talking on our phones while we are driving!
While I'm not guilty of most of this, I do talk on my phone while driving, a lot.  And checking my notifications at red lights.  But that's over!  I, along with all the fabulous bloggers below, have agreed to stop.  And the Red Thumb 2 Stop is helping with that.  While we continue to bring you our regular manis and nail art, we are painting our thumbs red!  The idea being that the red, which should not match the rest of the mani, will remind us to STOP!  It acts like a stop sign.

So here is my first contribution, a Pirate mani:
I Used:
OPI- Amazon, Amazoff (dark teal crème)
Sinful Colors- Embers Only (red jelly with silver glitter)
Konad- Black
Vivid Lacquer Stamping Plate- VL 023
Love these two polishes!  OPI Amazon, Amazoff is a beautiful, dark teal crème.  The pictures show two coats with top coat.  The formula was perfect, as most of OPI's polishes are.
Sinful Colors Embers Only is shown with three coats and top coat.  The formula was great.  I used three coats to make sure there wasn't any visible nail line, but you could get away with two.  While I liked Embers Only, I wish there was more glitter.

Anyway, we would love it if you joined us!!  You can do that a couple of ways.  Post a picture of your mani, with red thumbs, to Instagram with the hashtag: #RedThumb2Stop.  Or you can post a picture of your mani to either my facebook page or email it to me (at glitteryfingers@gmail.com) and I will post it for you.

Hope y'all enjoy today's post!  Happy Polishing!!

Just Some Gorgeous Polish Studio M & Darling Diva

Gifts

Hey Y'all!  I've missed you!  I've been miserable the last couple of days.  Not to be gross, but I have stomach ulcers.  Over 60.  Fortunately they are shallow and are healing, but when they get irritated, I'm in agony.  Which is how I've been the past couple of days :(

So this post was supposed to be my TIOT, but since I didn't get it posted, it's now a post about some gorgeous polish!  I have two polishes for you today, Studio M Lovin' It and Darling Diva And A Bag of Chips:
Oh. My. Goodness!!  These are so gorgeous in person and I just loved them!!!

Sadly, I forgot to get any pictures of Lovin' It by itself.  Which is a huge shame because it's gorgeous!!  Studio M is a neon orange with a blue shimmer and it's amazing!  The formula was perfect!  I applied two coats and it went on perfectly!  There was no balding or streaking.  And a HUGE THANK YOU to my darlin' Liz of A Mani Maniac for the fabulous gift!!  LOVE YOU LIZ!!!

The second polish it Darling Diva, And A Bag Of Chips that I won in a giveaway hosted by Darling Diva.  This is an amazing top coat polish!!!  It's a GITD (glow in the dark) milky top coat with micro glitters that shift from blue to a magenta-ish purple!  Yep!!  GITD AND shifting glitters!  Now, this was my first attempt at capturing a glow in the dark polish, so be nice, but here ya' go:
And A Bag Of Chips was amazing!!!!  And it drove my camera insane.  Does it look like hundreds of little lights on my nails?  Cause that's what it looked like in person!
LOVED THIS!!  The formula was amazing!  The pictures show one (yep, just one) coat of And A Bag Of Chips!  No issues with this polish at all.  Darling Diva has a shop on Etsy, just click here, and she's currently out of this polish :(  We need to beg her to make more...I need back ups!!  Of both polishes!!
I hope y'all enjoy these polishes as much as I did!  I think it's nap time then time to catch up on all my fabulous friends' blogs!  Have a fabulous day!  And, of course, Happy Polishing!!

Summer Neon Water Marble

Hey Y'all!!  Happy Monday!  Did you have a good weekend?  We did!  We went our 65+ miles to get the teen new pointe shoes.  And of course, since it was so far, we had to have lunch.  We went to Pappadeaux!!! I can't begin to tell you how much I LOVE that place!  They have the absolute best alligator in the world!  And this one had a BUFFET!  Ate myself sick and I'm not even ashamed!  The rest of the weekend was spent Spring cleaning and catching up on America's Got Talent.

Today I have a fun Summer Neon Water Marble for you:
I Used:
China Glaze- White on White (white crème)
Orly- Ablaze (neon orange with a micro gold shimmer)
Orly- Neon Heat (bright neon pink crème)
Studio M- Neon Greenlight (bright neon green)

For my water marble tutorial, just CLICK HERE!!!

I painted two coats of China Glaze White on White as a base.  Then I used it and the other three polishes in the water marble.  I added the white in the water marble to make the neons really pop.

I really love this mani. And I think it works great for Spring into Summer time!

I hope y'all have a fabulous day!!  And Happy Polishing!!
