Inspired by a Movie, R31DC

Hi Everyone!!  I'm back among the living!  I went to the doctor today and got medicine and am scheduled for some tests.  He told me in the meantime I had to change my diet...because my food was TOO healthy!!  What the heck?  He told me no more salads, leafy green vegetables, no more whole grains or whole wheat, but to eat lots of pasta and white bread!  That just isn't going to work for me, not to mention I would gain a ton!  Besides the healthy stuff is what my normal doctor said to eat.  Why do they have to be so confusing??  Ugh!!

Anyway, today's challenge prompt is Inspired by a Movie and my movie, although it hasn't come out yet is "Catching Fire".    My daughter and I read the entire series by Suzanne Collins and LOVE IT!!  I love dystopian books anyway and the "Hunger Games" is one of my favorite series.  Here is my design;
I Used:
Nina Ultra Pro- French White (white crème)
Spoiled- Designated Driver (yellow crème)
China Glaze- Roguish Red (a bright orangish red crème)
China Glaze- Adventure Red-y (dark red crème)
Confetti- Masquerade Ball (very dark, shimmery red)
Wet-n-Wild, Fergie- Glamorous (clear base with hexagon and micro gold glitters)

Fire has been done so many ways, and I wanted to try to come up with one more, lol.  This is supposed to look like your staring into the fire with the gold glitter being the sparks.  I started with one coat of white so the colors would pop.  Then using the eye shadow applicators, I sponged the yellow, orange, red and dark red onto my nails to represent fire. Be sure to sponge the colors on from lightest to darkest.  I wanted a rougher look than a regular gradient.  Then I topped it off with one coat of Fergie's Glamorous, a clear base with large hexagon and micro gold glitters to emulate sparks.

I hope y'all enjoy today's design and be sure to check everyone else's movie designs!  Happy Polishing!!

Double Challenge: Inspired by a Song & D

Hi everyone!!  Today I have a quick post for you.  I don't know what on earth has happened, but I woke up at 3am in incredible pain...It feels like a muscle pull (in my sleep??) and stab wound (I would guess) all at once.  Ow!!

So today is a double challenge:  Inspired by a song and the letter "D".  So I have several D's for you, and my song is "Tiny Bubbles" by Don Ho.  I remember my mother loving this song:

I Used:
China Glaze- Def-Defying (chartreuse green crème)
China Glaze- White on White (white crème)
Ulta- Grin & Berry It (berry colored shimmer)
Sally Hansen- DVD (blue, super shimmer-bubbles)
Wet-n-Wild- Sage in the City (light green shimmer)
Wet-n-Wild- SaGreena the Teenage Witch (dark green shimmer
Bonita- yellow shimmer (name missing)
Brushes
Dotting Tools

Since Don Ho was synonymous with Hawaii, I went for a Hawaiian/tropical feel to my nails.

I hope y'all enjoy today's mani!  Be sure to check all the other wonderful songs and d's.  Hopefully I will feel better by tomorrow.  Happy Polishing!!

Day 21: Inspired by a Color, R31DC

Hi Friends!!  Happy Tuesday!  I hope y'all are having a great week!  Today is day 21 of the Relaxed 31 Day Challenge and the prompt is Inspired by a color.  To be honest, yesterday's water marble was inspired by a color.  My absolute favorite color is purple, and what's better than one shade of purple? Three shades of purple!!  So I had to come up with a new idea. I wanted to do a purple flakie, and then I found this Layla at Ulta. And this is what I've gone with:
This is Layla Ceramic Effect.  I don't know the name of the color, it's marked CE52.  I tried to look it up on their web site, but since I don't speak Italian, I didn't get very far, lol.  This is two coats with out a top coat.  I originally put a top coat on and it ruined the effect of the flakies.

This is a gorgeous polish!!  The base is a perfect shade of purple jelly.  And the flakies are just beautiful.  They are a copper to gold in direct light.  Then in the shade they just come alive:
The formula was perfect, but there are a couple of negatives.  One is it seems to take forever to dry and second is that it wears away quickly.  After just a few hours, the corners of my nails were worn down.  But overall I love this polish and it's worth any negatives!  Be sure to check the other wonderful ladies to see how they were inspired by a color and Happy Polishing!!

Day 20: Water Marble, R31DC

Hi y'all!!  How was your weekend?  Mine was fabulous thanks to my hubby and almost teenager.  It was my birthday Sunday and they treated me like a queen all weekend!  Dinner Saturday at my favorite restaurant, breakfast at my favorite diner, and a TRIP TO ULTA!!!  If you remember, there are three Ulta's in my area but they are all over three counties away, so going is a real treat!  And then, just to remind me how far out in the country we live, he took me to the new gas station!!  ROFL!!  Not kidding!!  Although in his defense, this was the coolest gas station I've ever seen.  It had a coffee bar, frozen yogurt bar, dinners, café...nice!  My closest gas station sells gas, bait and guns...and you can get your hair cut, so this café station was a real treat!!

Ok, enough about me, today's challenge is water marble.  I love doing water marbles (and have a step-by-step tutorial here) but I learned one important thing this time around: don't start your water marble after midnight...no good is going to come from it. Here's my late night attempt:

I Used:
Sally Hansen- Lacey Lilac (lilac crème)
Wet-n-Wild- On A Trip (purple crème)
Orly- Wild Wisteria (dark purple crème)

I LOVE the color combination, I mean purple is my favorite color,  I will be trying this again real soon!  Thank y'all so much for coming by!!  Be sure to check out all the other great water marbles.  Happy Polishing!!

Day 19: Galaxy, R31DC

The prompt for Day 19 of the Relaxed 31 Day Challenge is galaxy.  I LOVE doing galaxy nails; it's one of my favorites.  And I'm so happy that this came on a Friday so I can wear them for more than one day.  (For a step-by-step tutorial on how to do galaxy nails, click here).   So here are my galaxy nails:
left hand
right hand
I Used:
Sinful Colors-  Black on Black
China Glaze- White on White
Orly- Hook Up (yellow shimmer)
China Glaze- Turned Up Turquoise
Ulta-  Celebutante (purple crème)
Orly- Royal Navy (royal blue with light blue shimmer)
Finger Paints- Brushstroke Blush (very pale pink crème)
Orly- Shine on Crazy Diamonds (clear base with micro holographic glitter)
Liner Brush
Dotting Tool

I love how they came out.  And I'm really happy with the new colors I used.  Be sure to come back Monday for water marble, and Tuesday for Inspired by a color.  Since my birthday is Sunday, these may be the same challenge for me.  Just a warning, lol. Don't forget to check out all the other fabulous ladies' galaxies listed below. Stay warm this weekend!!  Happy Polishing!!

Day 18: Half Moons (&Tutorial), R31DC

Hi y'all!!!  How is everyone?  Since I started complaining about the freezing weather yesterday, karma is getting revenge...we are expecting sleet and freezing rain on Friday.  And I have to be out running around in it.  So I'm thinking of taking up a collection to put a hit out on General Beauregard (yes, that is the name of the groundhog in the south...go ahead, laugh it up) if he sees his shadow.  We can take up one for our northern friends too against Punxutney Phil.  I mean it, Spring had better be on the way!! LOL!

Today in the R31DC is half moons.  I've done a tutorial on tradition half moons here.  And here is another version:
I Used:
Orly- Rage
Zoya- Jem
Scotch tape

I started with two coats of Orly Rage, a beautiful, light copper shimmer.  Once that had dried completely, I cut out triangles out of scotch tape:
And placed them down by my cuticles:

Then using the gorgeous, shimmery Zoya Jem, I painted one kind of thick coat.  Paint your nails one at a time and remove the tape before going on to the next nail.  Then just finish with your favorite top coat.

I hope y'all enjoyed this manicure!  And be sure to check out all the other wonderful half-moon designs!  Happy Polishing!!

Double Challenge: Glitter & C

Morning y'all!!  Are you staying warm?  I'm freezing!!  And it's only going to get worse :(  All I know is that groundhog had better not see his shadow...I'm ready for Spring now!!!

Today I have two challenges for you:  the Relaxed 31 Day Challenge, which is Glitter, and the ABC Challenge, which is C.  This was so hard!!!  Of my 300+ bottles of nail polish, 100+ are glitter!!!  (Hence the Glittery Fingers & Sparkling Toes name!) And China Glaze is one of my favorite brands of polish!!  I am not exaggerating when I say I changed my polish THREE times!!  But this is what I finally went with (it matched my outfit, lol):
I Used:
Finger Paints- Avante Garde Green
Orly- Can't Be Tamed

I started with two coats of Finger Paints Avante Garde Green, a very pretty dark green with a dark green shimmer and topped it with two coats of Orly, Can't Be Tamed...both untried!  Orly Can't Be Tamed is a clear based jelly with purple hexagon and micro silver glitters from their Flash Glam FX collection.

I love how this came out!  It reminds me of Mardi Gras, although, I'm a Gasperilla fan, I still like the look.  I hope y'all enjoy it.

Don't forget to enter my It's My Birthday Giveaway!!  3 prizes are up for grabs!!

And be sure to check out all the fabulous designs by the other beautiful ladies!!  Happy Polishing!!!

Day 16: Tribal Print, R31DC

Happy Tuesday Everybody!!  I hope y'all are having a fabulous day.  This is mine and the almost teenager's busy day...tons of running around.  And it's freezing!

Today's challenge is tribal.  I've done one other tribal before and even though I wouldn't call it a fail, it wasn't my favorite either.  So today I decided to do a tribal how I wanted it to look:
Left Hand
Right Hand
I Used:
China Glaze- Turned Up Turquoise (gorgeous shimmer turquoise)
Barielle- Hidden Hideaway (dark purple with purple shimmer)
Milani- HD (silver holographic)
Small Liner Brush

I started with two coats of Turned Up Turquoise by China Glaze.  Then using my small liner brush I drew the tribal designs freehand.  Which is pretty obvious when you see the two spirals, lol.  I really like how this turned out, especially the colors.  I still need some practice though.
Hope y'all enjoy today's manicure and be sure to come back tomorrow for another double challenge day:  glitter and the letter C.  And check out the other fabulous designs!  Happy Polishing!!

The Liebster Award

I am so excited to be nominated for the Liebster Award!!  Thank you to Inky Whiskers Musings, Nail the Look and Make Up & Polished Obsessed Girl for this fabulous nomination!!  I'm honored!!  I'm just sorry it has taken me an entire month to accept the award.

Just to explain the Liebster Award:
1.  To be nominated you must have less than 200 blog followers.
2.  You must share 11 random facts about yourself.
3.  You need to answer the 11 questions asked by the blogger that nominated you.
4.  Then you need to share by nominating 11 other bloggers with less than 200 followers and ask them 11 questions.

What fun!!  Ok, so first, the 11 random facts about myself (this was hard):
1.  I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida.  That may not seem like a big deal, but trust me, a native Floridian is hard to find in Orlando, lol.

2.  I once went to the bathroom with Elizabeth Taylor.  My mother was a huge fan of Elizabeth, and she starred in one of my all time favorite movies, "Cleopatra".  My hubby and I were in Las Vegas (pre-daughter days), and she was there making an appearance.  Security came in to clear out the bathroom, but I, ah-hum, couldn't leave...so I got to meet her!!  She was very nice and gorgeous.

3. As long as I'm on a celebrity thing, I live in "The Vampire Diaries" town of Mystic Falls.  Ok, I live in the town that the show is filmed.  And it's such a small town, that I've met most of the stars.  But my favorite is Ian Somenholder!! Sigh....

4. I've worked for both Sea World and Walt Disney World.  When I was 16 through 18, I sold ice cream out in the Sea World park in the summers.  Then when I was 18, I went to work part time at Walt Disney World while going to college,  I worked in EPCOT (which stands for Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow) in the Land Pavilion.  I was one of those people talking to you on the "Listen to the Land" boat ride.

5.  Working at Disney is kind of a family thing.  My grandfather helped build the original park, The Magic Kingdom, and my father helped to build EPCOT.  In fact my name is written on one of the rafters in Space Ship Earth.  Then my hubby, who used to be in construction built Fast Trak at EPCOT and wrote both our daughter's name and mine on a rafter there.

6.  I have an out of control addiction to Coca-Cola.

7.  I'm an only child and I have an only child.

8.  Besides being a polish-aholic, I'm a book-aholic.  I absolutely love to read!  My favorite genres are paranormal romance, historical fiction/romance and thrillers.  Sherrilyn Kenyon and J. R. Ward are my favorite writers ever!!

9.  I have gray eyes.  I know, weird right?

10. I have an absolute, paralyzing, crippling fear of green hoppy things, known to you as *shudder* frogs.  I'm absolutely terrified of them!!  I even hate Kermit.

11. I'm obsessed with glitter.  And if it's purple (my favorite color) and glitters, I have to have it!

Ok, now for the questions to me.  Instead of answering 33 questions, I just picked 11, a few from each person :)  From Inky Whiskers:
1. What is your favorite type of polish?  Glitter!!
2.  How many polishes do you own and how many untried?  I'm not exactly sure how many I own, but it's over 300 bottles now.  And how many untried?  Too many...probably around 60.
3.  What is your current polish lemming?  That's easy, Max Factor Fantasy Fire.
4.  What manicure challenges you the most (i.e. water marbling, braided, etc.)?  That's easy, stamping!  Right now, it just seems to be beyond me.
From Nail the Look:
5.  What's your go to nail polish color?  PURPLE!!
6.  How long have you been blogging?  I started in August, 2011, but then 4 days after starting our house was hit by lightning and we lost the computer and Internet.  It took an entire month to get everything working again, so I feel I really started in September.
7. What do you think is going to be big in 2013?  I think that the "sand" finish and foil are going to be huge this year.
From Make Up Obsessed:
8.  Do you have any pets?  YES!!  My precious angels, Count Damon (the brown and white) and Countess Delilah (the black and white).  They are my one year old Chinese Chins:
9.  Manicure you haven't tried but want to.  I really want to try the watercolor.
10. Favorite movie?  I don't know if I can narrow it down to only one...but I would have to say "Cleopatra"
11. Favorite nail polish? Probably a tie between Orly and China Glaze.

And now for my nominees, drum roll please, they are:
Lisa at Lozlosa
Raquel at Sunshine Nails
Lindsey at Mrs. Priss Porter
Meredith at Perfectly Polished

And now my 11 questions for y'all:
1.  What is your favorite polish color?
2.  What is your favorite food?
3.  What is your guilty pleasure?
4.  What is your most embarrassing polish moment?
5.  Which do you prefer, glitter, matte, crème or a new finish?
6.  What type of manicure are you afraid to try or frustrates you the most?
7.  If you could dress in any style from any age, which would you choose and why? (i.e. ancient Greece, the Roaring 20's, the sixties, etc.)
8.  Which do you prefer, mountains or beaches?
9.  How old were you when you fell in love with polish?
10. If a genie came to you and gave you three wishes, what would they be?
11. Are you going to follow my blog?

Whew!  I think I covered everything.  I hope you liked getting to know me better. Thank you so much ladies for nominating me!!  I'm honored!  And to the ladies I've nominated, I can't wait to see your responses!  Happy Polishing!!

Day 15: Delicate Print, R31DC

Hi Everyone!!  How was your weekend?  Are you happy about the upcoming San Francisco/Baltimore Super Bowl?  My poor Tampa Buccaneers are gone, and Atlanta lost, so I don't have a favorite, but I'm looking forward to the food, the commercials and it's going to be my baby's birthday!!!  But it was a nice, relaxing (except for the yelling during the Falcons game) wedding anniversary.

Now on the challenge.  Today is Day 15, Delicate Print.  Really?  First flowers and now delicate.  I wasn't even sure what that meant.  To my southern mind, delicate is my great aunts on the front porch waving their handkerchiefs while sitting in doily covered rocking chairs, lol.  So, I went with more flowers:
I Used:
Barielle- Hidden Hideaway (dark purple with purple shimmer)
Milani- 3D (gold holographic)
Konad Plate M79

I began with two coats of Barielle Hidden Hideaway that I just bought when Barielle had their buy one get one half off....it just arrived Friday.  This polish is beautiful!  It's a deep gorgeous purple with a lighter purple shimmer.  The formula was perfect.  It went on smoothly without any streaking or dragging.

Then I decided to be brave and once again attempt stamping with the Konad plate M79 and Milani 3D.  For some reason stamping seems beyond my ability, lol.  It didn't turn out too badly.  Although the stamping being on a slant was an accident.  I'm going to keep trying, I'll get it!  Then since the stamp didn't cover my nail, I put a small French tip on the end of my nail just using the polish brush.

Thank y'all for checking out today's challenge and be sure to check out the other fabulous ladies and their designs!  Until tomorrow (for tribal, another one I don't quite have down yet, lol), Happy Polishing!!

Day 14: Flowers, R31DC

Hi Everyone!!  I'm so sorry this is late, but I'm still feeling like crud and I think there is a marching band in my head, but I made it!  Today's theme is flowers.  In a couple of weeks, my little corner of Georgia will be colored by all the gorgeous Dogwood trees in bloom.  I love these trees, but only while they are blooming, otherwise they are an ugly green color!  They come in all shades of pink and white, sometimes all the colors on one tree, which is my favorite.

I Used:
Loreal- Club Drive (I think, it was hard to read the label)
Orly- Basket Case (bright pink crème)
Wet-n-Wild- Tickled Pink (pink crème)
Wet-n-Wild- French White Crème
Orly- Chocoholic (brown with silver shimmer)
Small Liner Brush
Dotting Tools

I'm sorry this is such a short post, but I need to go before my head explodes.  I just hope I feel better soon, Sunday is my wedding anniversary :-(

Anyway, be sure to check out all the other beautiful flowers and I will see y'all Monday!!  Have a beautiful weekend and Happy Polishing!!

Day 13: Animal Print

Hi Everyone!!  Today's prompt is animal print and once again the almost teenager came to the rescue.  She chose cheetah:

I Used:
China Glaze- Strawberry Fields (dark pink with a gold shimmer)
China Glaze- Creative Fantasy (perfect neon purple)
China Glaze- Liquid Leather (black crème)
Dotting Tools

The background is China Glaze- Strawberry Fields.  Oh my goodness!!!  This polish is gorgeous!  It's a dark pink, almost a fuchsia with a gold shimmer.  You can really see the golden shimmer in the last picture.  Just beautiful.  Then using the largest dotting tool (a ball point pin would work great here), I made irregular circles with China Glaze Creative Fantasy.  Next, using the smallest dotting tool (or a toothpick), I made wobbly u's and semi-circles around them with the China Glaze Liquid Leather.  And then lastly, I made dots with the black polish.

I hope y'all enjoy today's challenge manicure.  I'm going to go try to fight off whatever illness is trying to get me.  Make sure to visit all the other wonderful ladies and I will see you tomorrow.  Happy Polishing!!

Double Challenge: Stripes & B

Hi Everyone!!  How are y'all doing today?  Everything is going pretty good here.  My almost teenager went up on pointe last night and she is so excited!  Well, she really can't wait until she can wear them away from the barre, but she still enjoyed it.

As for me, I have TWO challenges for you today!  Of course there is the Relaxed  31 Day Challenge, which is Stripes today, and my new challenge by Kimber at Kimber's Lacquer Korner , the ABC Challenge!  Every Wednesday for 26 weeks, our mani has to have something to do with that week's letter.  This week is the letter B.  So for today I have Blue Stripes:  (there is one more b)
I Used:
Orly- Snowcone (light blue crème)
Ulta- Blues Cruise (blue jelly with dark blue glitter)
Long Liner Brush

I started this with two coats of Orly Snowcone and then with the long liner brush, I painted the stripes in a random pattern by free hand.  I like how this turned out, but if I was to do it again, I would use a one coat polish for the stripes.  Since I used a jelly with glitter, I had to go over the lines like 3 to 4 times and that made the lines less crisp.  That's the only thing I didn't like.
Right Hand
Left Hand
I'm so excited to be in these two challenges!!  And if anyone can help me figure out what to do for the Q, U and X weeks, I'll be your very best friend!!!!  Be sure to check out all the participants of both the Relaxed 31 Day Challenge and the ABC Challenge!  This is an extremely creative bunch!  And, as always, Happy Polishing!!

Day 11: Polka Dots, R31DC

Howdy Everyone!!  How's your Tuesday going?  I'm just hoping for a better Tuesday than Monday!!

Today's prompt is Polka Dots!  I love dotting.  It's an easy way to get a fun and unique look.  I have several dotty manicures worked up on my nail wheels that I've never worn, so choosing which one to do for this challenge was difficult.  So I finally had my almost teenager decide for me and I love the one she chose:
I Used:
Ulta- High Roller (very shimmery light gold)
Wet-n-Wild- I Red a Good Book (red crelly)
NYC- Times Square Tangerine Crème (orange crème)
Kleancolor- Neon Yellow (yellow crème)
China Glaze- Def-Defying (chartreuse green crème)
Ulta- Blue Streak (medium blue crème)
Wet-n-Wild- On a Trip (purple crème)
Dotting Tool

I started with two coats of the gorgeous Ulta High Roller.  Love this color!  Once that had dried completely, I used the smallest dotting tool to create the dots.  You can also use a toothpick or a needle to make the dots.  I started at the tip with red, then followed the ROY G. BIV rule: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, (left out the indigo) and purple.  Then a coat of top coat.

I hope y'all enjoyed this manicure.  Be sure to check out the rest of the ladies manis and make sure that you've entered my GIVEAWAY!!!

Check back tomorrow for Day 12 of the R31DC: Stripes AND my first day of the ABC Challenge!!  Happy Polishing!!

Day 10: Gradient, R31DC

I absolutely LOVE gradients!!  I think it's so much bang for so little effort.  They are definitely one of my absolute favorite designs to do.  My only problem was what kind of gradient to do.  Then I was looking at my You Tube subscriptions and knew I wanted to do this one by judeobsessionmakeup.  The video is in French but I think it's pretty self explanatory.

I loved how this looked so much, I only changed the coloring of the manicure a little bit.  I just used darker colors for a more sunset look, but stayed in her color families.  It's SO pretty I just couldn't change it much!  She did a fabulous job!!

I Used:
Spoiled- Designated Driver (dark yellow crème)
China Glaze- Flying Dragon (neon purple with blue and purple and blue micro-glitter)
China Glaze- VIII (dark purple glitter)
Make-up Sponges
Toothpicks

For how to do the gradient, click here.  Everything else is in the video link above.  If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment or send me an email at glitteryfingers@gmail.com.    Be sure to check out the other wonderful ladies and their designs in the links below.
And don't forget to enter my new Giveaway!!  Happy Polishing!!

Day 9: Rainbow, R31DC

Hi Everyone!!  How are y'all doing today?  Any big plans for the weekend?  There is so much going on this weekend I'm sure it's going to be fun.  "The Vampire Diaries" are filming in town.  You may think so how will you ever see them?  But when I say I have a small town, I'm not kidding.  Downtown is one block.  And TVD puts signs up pointing to where everything is!!  And all I can say about Ian Somenholder is, drool!!  And yes I've met him!!  And my almost teenager is getting her first pair of pointe shoes!!  And that means a trip to the city!!!  Wonder if there is an Ulta near the dance store?

Ok, enough about all that, on to the challenge! First I've decided to abbreviate it to R31DC as opposed to writing out Relaxed 31 Day Challenge.  Next, today's prompt is rainbow.  I didn't know what I was going to do until the blue  challenge last Monday (sorry, for some reason I can't get the link to work today).  So here is my rainbow:
I Used (from lightest to darkest):
Green:
     Pure Ice- Wild Thing
     Wet-n-Wild- SaGreena the Teenage Witch
     Finger Paints- Avante Garde Green
Yellow:
     NYC- 114A
     Kleancolor- Neon Yellow
     Spoiled- Designated Driver
Blue:
     Bonita (name missing)
     Wet-n-Wild- Saved by the Blue
     NYC- Skin Tight Denim Crème
Red:
A mix of China Glaze- Rougish Red and white polish
     Wet-n-Wild- I Red a Good Book
     Orly- Torrid
Purple:
     NYC- Lavender Cupcake
     Wet-n-Wild- On a Trip
     China Glaze- VIII

I had a lot of fun creating this manicure, despite the first words out of the almost teenager's mouth that I got the colors in the wrong order, lol.  I love it anyway!!
And here is the rest of the challenge:
Hope y'all have a fabulous weekend!!  Be sure to check out the other designs and check back next week as I add another, albeit, relaxed challenge! Happy Polishing!!

Day 8: Metallic, Relaxed 31 Day Challenge

Hi Everyone!!!  How are y'all doing today?  Thank goodness it's almost Friday, and I can't wait!  My almost teenager is getting her pointe shoes on Saturday and I think she is going to drive me insane.  I do get it, it's extremely exciting, and she's trained for this since she was 5, but I can't make the week go any faster.  Trust me, if I could I would, lol!

Today's challenge is Metallic.  This one was hard for me.  I have a lot of silver, gold, etc that I love, so which one?  Finally I went with a polish I have a love/hate relationship with, Sally Hansen, Chrome Series, White Gold Chrome:

I've owned this polish for years and years.  I can't remember when I bought it, but I know it was in Florida, before I moved to Georgia, and my daughter wasn't even a thought...so at least 15 years.

Ok, here's what I love:  1.  The color.  It's a perfect silver color.  2.  How bright it is.  These pictures were taken outside on a dark and overcast day and they are just glowing.  I know people had to be able to see them from a mile away.  3.  Part super formula.  This bottle is at least 15 years old and has never been thinned.  It's just as "flow-y" as the day I bought it.

And what I hate:  1.  The formula.  If you look on my middle finger, you can see bubbles.  I've never used this polish and have it be bubble free.  And nothing seems to prevent it.  2.  It is so streaky.  It shows every brush stroke.  3.  The finish.  Even with my super duper high gloss top coat, the finish seems matted.

Even though these have been discontinued, you can still find them on Amazon and ebay.

So do I love or hate it?  Yep!  Be sure to check out all the other fabulous designs and check back tomorrow for rainbows!  Happy Polishing!!!
